I'm trying to auto sync 2 cameras (Sony AX-700) using recorded time code. Ignore green busses as that's just watermark stuff. Cam1 and Cam2 are the Gold / Red busses. First I tried the Fx TIME CODE, but I think that's only if you want to see the TC on the screen which I don't... so I got rid of that. I ran TOOLS / MULTICAMERA / SCHRONIZE MEDIA TIMECODE TO align events.
I was hoping that it would just move over the events to where they belong. Nope, Cam2 COPIED to the top, and CREATED A NEW BUSS FOR EACH EVENT. I'm pleased that the timing is correct, though. It did NOTHING for Cam1 events.
Please explain what I'm doing wrong...
1) I only want the existing events, on the original buss moved over to where they belong on the same buss.
2) What happens when time code doesn't begin on the first event at 0:00:00;00 ? Does it just take the earliest timecode and puts that at 0:00:00;00 on the timeline ?
3) What about Cam1 ? The whole purpose of this is to synch the two camera and probably group all events for both cameras after synched.

What settings should I use so I can see previews of C1, C2 and PROGRAM on my external monitor ? A quad split would be great. How can I switch or 30fr dissolve between the two sources ?
Thanks, hope it's easy :-)
