ATTN:SONY -- Media Manager problem on Sony Machine

Hi all,

I experienced a wierd problem with V6a media manager on my PCV-RX580 machine. Here goes...

After install I opened a V5 project. Soon a error message "There is no disk in the drive. Please insert disk in Drive H:" appears.

Drive H: is the memory stick drive. No media from this drive is used in the project. Placing a memory stick in the drive makes the error message go away. I saved the project in V6 and closed and rebooted. The incident was repeatable.

Not a major bug, or is this even a bug?

Cheers,

-Matt

Did you have Media Manager scan all drives?

I've looked ... just where can I do that? Thanks!

I was able to repro this by..

1. Inserting the removable media, and using Vegas explorer to access the drive. (You don't need to pull files from the drive, just open it so that its contents display in the Vegas explorer.)
2. I then closed Vegas, removed the media, and then restarted Vegas.
3. Upon startup, Vegas attempts to access the last-used drive, finds that it has no media, and throws the warning you're seeing.

To prevent this warning from displaying on startup, navigate to a different drive in the Vegas explorer, and then re-start the app.

Thanks.
Tim.
