Hi.

Would like to know how you guys have dealt with the higher compression ratios caused by the low bitrate (17Mbps) - and the negative affect this may have on your captured footage...as opposed to 25Mbps effected by the HDV units..

Why have you guys chosen this media over the MiniDV tape?

Can you see loss in quality (eg : decreased colour, more artifects, etc..) for this MPEG4 compression rate?

Also, what is your workflow?

People on this forum take time and a lot of effort in providing help where it's needed. This is, as you should know, a forum for the development of skills in using the Vegas NLE and not one for discussion of the most basic elements of videography. Nevertheless, people are generous with their time and knowledge and happy to help people asking off-topic questions. That effort isn't rewarded if the poster doesn't appear to try to understand the information provided and sometimes one wonders whether there is any purpose served by responding.
