You get the distinct pleasure of opening each one up individually and changing every keyframe to that new color.

What about just color correcting the track(s)? I can't recall if the secondary color corrector is in Vegas 4, but it seems to me that would be a good place to start.

That is what I feared...

Since you have to do it anyway, i'd suggest changing the background to transparent on all of them. Then put a generated solid or gradient event on a track below them. That way all you have to do for future changes is adjust that one event.

Absolutely correct (Chien).
RULE: All type over transparent backgrounds. Backgrounds generated on a separate track.

We NEVER use generated backgrounds for this reason.
Someone (your client) will ALWAYS want to fiddle with this nonsencical part of the process.

Absolutely agreed. That was my original thought as well... "too bad the background wasn't transparent!"

Y'know ... something that would be handy in these cases is an optional submenu under Paste Event Attributes that lets one pick which attributes to paste and which ones not to.

Just out of curiousity, and I'm sure there's a reason, why is my color correction fix out of the question?

Good ideas by all. We ended up changing to a scroll instead.

Can you change text attributes in the latest versions?

Rob, your suggestion is good! It's just not as generally applicable. Having the background transparent lends itself to pretty much anything one would want to do with the background. Using color correction still leaves a solid background color. If that's all that is desired, then that's a nice simple fast way to go.

Oh, I know. I meant it purely as a fix for swarrine's situation. I almost never use a background color in the text generator.
