Ok ok, I'm told I need to mic my amp to get the proper sound I'm looking for. I just want to get the sound I hear from my amp recorded on my computer. How do I go about doing this properly and do I require a mixer or any other equipment? I have a soundblaster audigy platinum soundcard. I just want to get the sound I hear from my amp recorded on my computer. HELP ME! :)

whats up man i also have the audio 2.0 and i do alot of recording of my band and there are a few ways to get your guitar sound into your computer the best way would be to mic it up then run into a external mixer so you can control the gain level then wire the main outputs stereo into your sound card ..... now im not familar with your soundcard but im sure you have a stereo input jack.... once you do that open up a new track then find that input device and jam away....... well i hopei was some help....... see ya

Why not try www.homerecording.com and see if that gets you started. There's lots of information there for a beginner to start learning how to hook up equipment.
