I am using a tool from iSofter.com to convert VOB files extracted DVDs to AVI files. When I load the AVI files in VMS Plat. 7, I get the audio track but no video track. However, it plays fine in Windows media.
What's up with this and how can I get my video track to display?
Besides what Kelly suggested, you probably don't have the correct Divx or XVid codec installed for VMS to be able to decode the video. AVI files are just containers and can hold almost anything.
Search this forum for divx and you'll likely find a solution.
My new digital camera saves video as an avi file. When I put it in Vegas Movie Studio, I get audio but no video. I'm afraid I have no idea what divx and xvid codec are. What are they? How do I install the right ones.
I've used VMS a lot for making slide show movies. This is the first time I've tried to add video or audio.
