Did you create an AUDIO CD or a DATA CD with MP3 audio files.

The AUDIO CD standard does not support artist and track names.

Thanks Dave,

It was an audio cd. But my next question then is why do store bought audio cds show the info?

Thanks,

Marc

Store bought CDs have a serial number. When you play the CD in WMP, it goes to the internet to a predetermined WEBSITE DATABASE that has all CDs filed by Serial number and tracknames. WMP downloads this information to a database on your computer.

There are several databases available on the WEB. YOu can set which one your program uses.

Audio CDs have CD Text capabilities (added in the latest build of CDA). However WMP needs an additional plugin to display it.
Alternatively WinAmp I think does read and display CD Text as does Plextools.
As far as I know however Vegas doesn't write CD Text, only CDA.
Bob.
