I recently upgraded to Movie Studio 14. I added an audio compressor to an audio track. FYI, I have used this compressor FX many times in previous versions of Vegas/Movie Studio (11 and 13) with no problems. I played through the audio track several times as I was adjusting the controls in the compressor. However, it seemed that when I reduced any of the control, such as output gain, the FX maintained the highest setting causing the output audio to clip badly. Even when I un-checked the FX in the window, it continued to act the same with a distorted/clipping output. I then removed the FX completely and the audio was still the same way (clipping). I had to close the project and re-open it to have the audio play correctly. Since I have used this function literally hundreds of times over the last 6 years of using Vegas, I have never seen it act like this. This is clearly a bug.
Thank you.
