Audio cutting in and out.

What is it that I'm low on...

My audio keeps cutting in and out about every second while playing back from the timeline. The video isn't skipping, just the audio.
No other process running in the background.
512DDR memory... need more??

Are you previewint to an external monitor? If so, try going to a lower resolution for the preview.
