Hi all. I have had version 201 fo a couple of months an have been trying to set it up, not helped by a motherboard failure. The new one, a Gigabyte B75M-D3H, has not been as co-operative as usual. The RealTek Audio is being confusing fitting into the Vegas 5.1 system (worked perfectly with the old motherboard) and I have managed to get rid of the mesages about lack of administrator privileges by invoking the Hidden Administrator.
But the question of the moment, and the one I could use some advice on, is the "extract audio from CD". Clicking this choice from the File menu results in the search period, but then the window appears showing "no device" where the CD should be, and nothing in the "tracks" area. It does not matter what sort of CD it is, commercial, royalty-free or home burned, the result is the same.
The CD player is an LG BluRay Player/Burner and appears to be working perfectly. Certainly it was before the motherboard fail and it still plays normally into VLC player et al. The driver was checked a couple of days ago and was deemed OK. The only program that fails to pick it up appears to be Vegas!
Does anyone have any bright ideas? I have been back through the preferences in case of a memory slip, but nothing jumped out. I am running Windows 10, which does not engender confidence, but such is life.
I would be very grateful for any advice.
