Audio distortion during capture

Last week I upgraded the size of my LCD monitor from 15" to 19". While I enjoy the additional real estate to view all my timelines and bins, I noticed a high level of audio distortion while capturing video. The problem goes away when I resize my screen to about 1024x768 or 3/4 size of my monitor. Believing this problem was due to my old 32 MB video card, I quickly upgraded to a new MX400 NVida 128MB DDR video card. Games look great, but the audio distortion still remains. Anyone experience this problem and found a resolution?

The resolution is that regardless of whatever else is going on, during capture your system resources can't playback audio correctly when previewing at full screen. the graphics accelerator may be part of this.
Regardless, size your capture window to it's smallest size and you'll be able to capture and not hear the stuttered audio during capture. It may well be that your 1394 card is sharing a resource with your OHCI card. This will account for the problem too, in most instances.

Thanks Spot, makes a lot of sense.
