Audio drop out

I have had this package for about a month and I can't use it. It renders video just fine but the audio gives me "drop-out" when it is playing back, it "skips". I don't have this problem using windows movie maker but I bought this to upgrade. Does anyone have any ideas to fix this? I make small web videos for clients on promotions, ect. I wanted something to have better control of my videos but simple enough for a older guy like me to understand. I have a Dell Inspiron 531 which still works great with windows 7 professional. I have tried the GPU tricks I have found with other comments and it does not work. any ideas? I want to use this software but to be honest, since loading it and paying for it, I been really disappointed. The software and my desktop seemed to spec out and match before I bought it. I also close down everything when I render so as not to use up other resources.

I suppose the audio dropout is in the rendered file, not in the preview?

This phenomenon is most likely caused by using a demo audio effect or an audio effect for which you haven't registered (yet). Either disable the effect, or register, and the problem should be gone.

If this doesn't solve the issue, you should post more details (eg what file/bitrate are you rendering to). If you are rendering to some uncompressed, huge file, it could be that your machine simply isn't capable of reading the data flow fast enough. So make sure you render to a standard 1080p (or 720p) mp4 file.
