Audio Dropouts in Vegas related to ClipBrowser 2.6

Hi. This is my 1st post to the forum. Hoping someone can help me. I edit on a PC, dual quad processors, Windows XP Pro, 8 gig of ram. I shoot with a Sony XDCAM EX-1 mostly in HQ 720 60p, and I edit using Sony Vegas 9 pro.

Clips exported into Vegas Pro 9 from the cards in my XDCAM EX-1 via ClipBrowser 2.6 transfer software show periodic 1 second audio dropouts on both audio tracks so there is no sound to work with at all at those points. This is consistent.

The same clips brought in to Vegas via the device explorer within Vegas show no audio dropouts at all. Clips brought into Vegas via windows explorer also show no audio dropouts.

Has anyone had this problem with ClipBrowser? Is there any way to get the clips from ClipBrowser into Vegas 9 without audio dropouts?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Marc

Yes I've heard of this, and it is an actual issue. It's the 720p60 material. Use 30p or 24p, and your audio will be fine. Apparently Vegas 9 has an issue with 60p material. The video plays fine, but the audio drops out or sometimes doesn't come through at all. Try a search on this forum and others to possibly yield more info. I've not tried importing EX 720p60 clips via the "device explorer" yet, but I know the sound dropouts happen when exporting MXF 60p material from Clip Browser.
