Audio DVD Questions

LONG, LONG PAUSE between songs:

Had a couple of audio only dvds made by droping .wav files onto a "music compilation" button. It seemed to work fine: each song had become a chapter with white text (the name of the song) against black bacground visible during playback of the chapter.

Well, once I tried playing it in a standalone DVD player, the first song would play fine, but then about a second after the next song starts, there is a pause that lasts for a couple of minutes, maybe more. Then the paused song finishes playing and the same thing happens about a second into the next one. Same for both DVDs. What is wrong? (Burned Stereo PCM to preserve CD quality)

Continuous Play:

The other question: How can I have three or four menu buttons for music compilations and once I have selected one and it has finished playing, have the others play automatically without having to select them and start them individually.

Thanks in advance.

Question one....I don't know.

Question two - you can't do it.

Did you burn it at the wrong sample rate?

Ummm, I burned PCM at 44 (should I have upconverted to 48? - DVDA did not offer the option).

Basically, trying to fit more of my CDs into a DVD jukebox player, but maintain the sound quality and ease of navigation. Transferring the CD files onto DVD at the same PCM rate as CD (44). Ideally I would love to have the titles fade, so as not to cause screen burn on the TV, but haven't figured out an easy and efficient (automated) way to do it. Thanks again.

Tried converting the 44 CD wav files to 48 and burned again. Still there is a pause of about a minute immediately after the start of each song in a musinc compilation. The long pauses make the DVD unuseable.

On my computer the songs play without the pauses, but the screen with the song name does not advance (it stays on the first song chosen), while the songs change. On the standalone Sony DVD jukebox the screen advances as each song changes, but then the long pause occurs after about a second after the change of screen at the start of the new song.

Has anyone burned an audio only DVD without such problem? If so, what might I be doing wrong? Thanks!
