Audio effect keyframing app?

Hello,

I know you can't keyframe audio effects, and there are workarounds like splitting audio clips to 'vary' audio effects with time, but what about an application like Forge - does it allow audio effect 'keyframing'? What about other applications? What I'm thinking here can be illustrated as follows:

Let's say I have a video clip where some animated talent walks from an open area, through a tunnel, and then back into an open space. Obviously it'd be nice to keyframe an echo effect to provide realism.

Now, without resorting to cutting up my audio clip and applying workarounds, is there something besides Vegas that'll let me do this? Will Forge do this?

You didn't say which version of Vegas Pro you have, but Vegas Pro 8.0c has 16 audio effects that support automation envelopes, which do the same thing and are a heck of a lot more convenient to work with than keyframes. "Reverb" is one of those automatible effects and will accomplish the tunnel effect you want to achieve. Consult your Help section in Vegas.
