Audio Effects

As another relatively new convert from Pinnacle, can anyone help me with audio effects.
Pinnacle provides synthetic music in a range of styles which automatically tailor themselves to fit the length of the timeline when inserted.
With VMS, I can drop in one of the 1001 sound effects, but I can't locate anything like the Pinnacle synthetic music.
Is a similar feature provided with VMS and if so, where?
Thanks, GBR

No, it's not. SONY does sell a product named "Cinescore" which provides this feature but it's not cheap. I also don't know if it would work seemlessly from inside Vegas Movie Studio. You might have to run it separately, generate the sound track, then import this into your Vegas project.

Thanks for your response and for all of your helpful comments on a wide range of topics.

You can get music in various lengths and genres at http://www.freeplaymusic.com/. I usualy put down a music bed first and then edit the video to fit, but you can edit the music itself with something like Audacity. Try to make sure you make any cuts at the "null crossings" (where the volume = 0) to avoid clicks and pops.

Thanks for that. I am using Sound Forge Audio Studio as the audio editor. Your advice of the website for free music downloads is apreciated.
