Audio glitch due to Vegas Pro

Hi! I edit on Sony Vegas Pro 17! I recently got a new laptop, it is pretty nice and never has problems with audio. I tried to reinstall Sony Vegas on this laptop and everything went fine till I opened Sony Vegas. When I ran it, it messed with my audio making it sound loud and glitchy. It's not just on Sony Vegas, it's everywhere on my computer. The audio-only works after I restart my laptop, but glitches again when I run Sony Vegas. I've tried troubleshooting it, updating my computer, and messing with the audio settings. If someone could help that would be amazing! Thank you.

Try reset your Vegas Pro. (Hold ctrl-shift while starting up Vegas Pro until the dialog box to reset appear)

and..., no Sony Vegas.
