Audio Hangover

Every new project I start has 'Track Noise Gate', 'Track EQ' and 'Track Compressor' pre-applied to the audio track.
I'm sure this isn't the default - and I can't find a way to make the audio initialise as plain vanilla (unless, of course, what I'm seeing *is* the default).

Anyone got an Alka-Seltzer to fix this?

It is the default. But don't worry, although they're automatically inserted the parameters are set to have no effect, and it doesn't affect render times.

Adjust the settings to what you want. Add or take away FXs - whatever. Right-click the track header. Select Set Default Track Properties.

I prefer no default fx. When I see that icon colored, I know that I have applied fx, whereas if you use default fx (even if disabled) you don't know at a glance if that track has had fx applied to it or not.
