Audio Help Needed..

Hi,

I must admit that when it comes to Audio, I don't know much.
I almost finished my project (corporate work for a manufacturing company) and they provided me with a song (mp3) and it sounds rather flat. My project has about 5 songs and they are okay(meaning no adjustment are needed)..I would like to put the ExpressFX Graphic EQ on, but only for this one song. How is this done?

When I am in the Master Mixer, I selected MasterFX and added the plug-in, but it then applies that EQ on all my tracks..I know I am doing something wrong.

On another note, I noticed a plugin called Noise Gate..does this apply to reducing wind noise?

Thanks...

Can't you put the one song on a separate track?

Hi there,

you can apply the effect on track level, or to an individual clip. Master (as you've discovered) affects all the audio.

Noise gate will not reduce wind noise, you would use eq for that (up to a point). Noise gate just cuts audio to silence when you reach the threshold. If you try that with wind noise you will hear the noise in audio and nothing in the gaps - can sound wierd.

Ok I got it..I had to add the selected plugin from the track FX and not use the default Track EQ..

Thanks
