I am using a Radeon 64DDR to capture analog video. When I capture, the preview plays the video and the speakers play the audio.
The video is captured, but the sound is not. Is there a setting to point to the "line-in"? I have checked the volume control for both Windows (98SE) and VF.
I'm new to this but had similar problem. Make sure your camcorder does not have a variable audio out volume control. If it does, crank it up to near max. Also, turn off "preview audio" option in the capture module. This combination worked for me and it didn't matter that the audio was not preview through computer, because my camera was loud enough.
You need to select "Custom" for capture quality. You can then select from a number of templates including AVI templates, or set your own AVI properties.
