Audio in preview plays from the start

When I skip to a new point in a clip, the audio plays from the start instead of where I am in the timeline.

Are you clicking the Play button in the explorer/project media window instead of the Play button in the timeline?

No, I am using the play button in the timeline. I've been using vms for a couple years and only have this problem in my new install of 11. Thanks

What model of camcorder is your video coming from and what are your Vegas Project Properties?

Is it just the audio that plays from the start or is it the video and audio?
