Audio in Vegas

Will someone tell me which editor is best to use with Sony Vegas Video when editing a audio track from video? Also which ones will work inside of the Vegas format or desk top?

Sony's Sound Forge. However, an amazing amount of editing can be done directly in Vegas as well.
