Audio Interface Compatibility

I have searched the forum but can't seem to find an answer to my question. I'm new to Vegas and need to know if there is a list of compatible audio interfaces (mbox, m-audio etc). I'll be using the interface for voice over etc. but don't want to run into compatibility issues. I'm leaning toward firewire - Would also be interested in what the forum membership is using in this regard.

Thanks in advance for all replies.

It should run on any audio interface. One thing that some people have complained about is input monitoring, so you may want to decide based on that. Many audio interfaces feature zero-latency input monitoring via it's hardware - which is may be what you want. I believe all the m-audio products supports this (I know my delta 44 does). As for monitoring the input with effects plug-ins through Vegas (software) - well, that is really not possible without noticble latency.

Firewire works fine IME: I often hook up my laptop to a big Motu rig and it never fails. If all you are doing is voice over work, I think it's safe to say USB is an acceptable option as well.

Surely others will chime in on all this, good luck!
