Audio is junk when rendering avi

Hey all,

I'm stumped here. Things have been going smoothly with V6b, and now I'm getting inconsistent audio on avi renders. Sometimes it's fine. Sometimes I get nothing but static on one or both channels. I can render it out as a wave and it's always fine. I've reinstalled Vegas, but that didn't take care of it.

Like I said, I've been doing a lot of rendering in the past few months and this just started happening a few weeks ago. Any insights would be appreciated.

What Codec are you using for the AVI?

Kevin,
It shouldn't matter, but check the file properties and be sure that it's 48k, and also, do you have any "weird" or unique codecs for audio on the timeline? What about sound card being at same sample rate as the project?
Can you render all audio to a new track without the problem occurring?

I'm using the default settings - 48 / 16 / PCM. I'll try rendering within the project, but separate audio renders have proven to be fine - it's just the avi render that screws up.

What are your Project settings - not render - but project settings for Audio? - G
