Audio looping problem in menu

I created a menu that includes a 16 second audio background - which I set to automatically loop. When I play the DVD I get a very noticable pause each time the loop restarts. The length of the pause appears to be shorter when I play the DVD on my computer in either Windows Media 9 or Power DVD. The pause is longer on my Sony stand-alone DVD player.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of the pause

I don’t believe you can get rid of the pause. Even Hollywood DVD’s have this pause while the DVD player seeks back to the beginning of the menu clip. Your PC probably has a lower seek rate than your standalone DVD player which is why the pause is smaller when played on the PC.

You could in theory avoid the pause....just copy the same loop several times one after the other on the Vegas timeline and render as a single audio file - then use that in DVDA (it will loop in the end of course, but by then the viewer will probably have decided to move on before hearing the audio for the ...nth time!! if you see what I mean...) Mind you, will take up more space...
Anyway, just thought I would post the idea...
