audio lost in DVD Architect Studio

wholmmovies wrote on 6/2/2005, 8:30 AM
I am using DVD Architect Studio 2.0 (build 22).

I have done several projects, probably a dozen or so. I always render NTSC-DV .avi files to use when I create DVDs.

On at least three of the 12 or so projects, when I burn the first DVD and play it back, there is either no audio present, or the audio 'disappears' at some point during playback, and it never 'reappears'. Once it reaches the point where it goes, it's gone for the rest of the DVD.

What I have had to go is go back, start over with a new DVD Studio project, re-render and re-burn and viola! Audio is fine. Note that I don't have to re-render the .avi file, which is fine all along.

What am I doing wrong? or is this a bug?

Thank you,

Are you using the most current update? The build number for Vegas Movie Studio is 48 -- not sure if the one for DVDA Studio is different...

Hi Rob,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using the most current build for both of my Studio apps: Movie Studio build 48 and DVD Studio build 22.

Any other ideas....?

'Fraid not. From what I understand, the initial release of VMS had issues with audio, but I thought it was fixed in the first (and only?) update. I don't use VMS, so I'm not much help there beyond what I've read from others.

If you haven't already, you might want to ask on the Movie Studio forum.

Okay, I posted my problem in the Movie Studio forum as well.

Thanks for suggesting that.
