Audio Not Recording

I am imputing sound to my Vegas with a Line 6 Tone Port GX. The sound level meters show that it is being received, but when recording, the audio is not being laid down to the audio track,

Any idea what I've missed please?

Did you Arm the track before pressing Record?

Yes, I did arm the track but all that happens is it records an empty audio track.

Seeing Vegas Meters registering, & having armed the Track, & then pressing Record, I cannot find a situation where the recording is not made.....
Does Vegas Play back previously recorded files OK?
