I am new to the Vegas Movie DVD program. I have captured a video from a video camera, but cannot get the audio to play or I can figure out how to hear it. Do you have to capture the audio separately, or how do I hear it? Thanks
I have a similar issue. I have a Panasonic PV-GS400 MiniDv camcorder and just purchased Movie Studio. I captured video from my camera using supplied USB cable. The software that came with the camera used a USB to bring info off the camera into their software. This worked fine, but there software was so bad, I went and purchased Sony's. For Vegas, The video media came in fine, but instead of hearing the original sound that was recorded on the tape, I was hearing music that evidently was playing in the background while the capture was taking place. Evidently, I was recording new audio while the capture was occuring. Any help on what I am doing wrong and how to fix it?
Do you "see" the voice "waveforms" on the "Voice" track? as i play my .avi file, i can hear the original sound and the loudness corresponds to the peaks and valleys on the Voice Track.
and a bit OT-- shooter71, on Thur i crashed my HDD using MotionDV from panny. i have all kinds of chkdsk errors that do not get fixed. i can reboot from that hdd anymore. i bought a new disk from BB--160gb for $80, and i am still retreiving my data from my orig HDD. i'm glad i'm not alone with MotionDV. I too just bought VMS+DVD and am still "playing" with it. Since i don't have a firewire card yet, i'm "playing" with the .avi file transfered usiong MotionDV. Try playing your original MotionDV .avi file and see if that works..
