Audio out of sync

Hi.
I'm new to vegas.
I've been editing a project and I have lots of camera angles with overlapping audio (several audio events/tracks)
I'm trying to be very careful and keep grouping a video track with its audio, and locking the finished portions, but in the end I always end up with scenes getting slightly out of sync.
What am I doing wrong or forgetting to do?
Thank you

Gino

I had the same problem. Originally, I just kept stretching the shorter ones to match the longer ones (timestretch), but then I got into my Vegas properties and on the 'Ruler' tab, I chose SMPTE non-drop 29.97 fps. That seemed to solve my problems. On all new projects, so far, everything I put in, is at the right length. Now, I've heard that 'non-drop' is not necessarily the choice, but it's worked for me and I haven't changed it yet. Just be sure its SMPTE 29.97 fps and it says something like '120,000 beats per minute'.

I have done up to 4 cam shoots with no problems. I find that snap to works well or I might set a cursor or marker to make sure.

Are you sure you are in synch all the way through the video in the first place?
