audio playback

I am new to DVD Architect, but have used vegas, acid & sound forge.

In those programs you can specify outputs for playback (i.e. busses and under preferences). i cannot find anything in DVD Architect to do so. I have no audio during playback at all. Please help. I need some guidance on this one.

You have to set your default audio playback device in Windows.

In XP:

1. Go to Control Panel
2. Go to Sounds and Audio Devices
3. Go to Audio Tab
4. Pick Default device in the Sound Playback field.

Thank you for replying. I did that a little while back. I had to set that up for the Soundblaster Audigy card. I also switch back and forth between that and an STAudio interface and a MOTU 828mkII. Is there not a place within DVDArchitect to set a default for that particular program as with the other Sonic foundry products?

Unfortunately not in this version, sorry. You have to use the system settings.
