Audio plug-in gone in Vegas 6

Just upgraded and tried to open V5 projects (I already uninstalled V5), got an error message telling me that all the audio plug-in such as Sony Track Noise Gate, Sony Track EQ, and Sony Track Compressor cannot be found. Did Sony deliberately get rid of these plugins?

they've been renamed (not sure why). Take off "Sony" & you've got them.

Hmm... I'm not sure what I'm missing here.. I've seen Noise Gate, but not Track EQ or Track Compressor?!?!?

all there. Track EQ is called....Track EQ & Track Compressor is called Track Compressor.

Maybe you've got lots of 3rd party plugins & it's gotten lost in the jumble. Click on the Track Optomized FX folder & it will show those only.

On the contrary, I don't have a lot of 3rd party plugins, I did click on the Track Optimized FX and couldn't find all those you mentioned. Do you still have your Vegas 5 installed?

I had this problem, I always bite the bullet and uninstall the old version

I had to uninstall V6 and reinstall to get them back

Must be a problem with the V5 uninstall

You're right. I re-install V6 without uninstalling it and I still had that problem. Only after uninstalling and reinstalling it, I saw them. Thanks for all the help from you two! :)

Glad you got it sorted Orca.

I had the same problem, uninstalled v5, installed v6 and the plugins weren't there.

Uninstalled v6 and reinstalled and they appeared.
