The problem is that I am getting what sounds like peak clipping on the prepared dvd image file that is not there on the mpeg 2 file. The video is not being recompressed but the audio is. (Main concept from Vegas and from the canopus storm encoder -- same for both) It is encoded as PAL for both.
video @ 6000 audio 224. (ie the defaults)

I assume that that the problem is the re-compression of the audio -- are there settings that avoid doing this?

Anyone else seen this?
