Audio problems

I just purchased the Movie Stuido program and I am trying to burn a DVD from video that I shot with my Sony MiniDV. I imported the files and edited them complete with transitions, text and background music. Everything looked and sounded great on the playback. After completing the project I followed the instructions and rendered the file.

The problem occured after the rendering was complete. When I opend the file in Sony DVD Architect there was no audio. I went to where I had rendered the original project to and tried to open just the audio file in Windows Meida Player. It opened but no sound came.

Can any give some suggestions or help as to how to get he audio to work?

What format did you render to? What format were the audio files that you used as sources, if there were any besides the MiniDV capture?

I had this happen once when creating a .avi file but re-rendering somehow fixed it. You might try re-rendering a small portion of the file and see if you can reproduce the problem.

I inserted mp3 files into the movie as well as the miniDV files. Would that cause a problem?

Thanks for the reply!

No, The Mp3 files are not the problem. I have used them many times.

Did you by chance select the option "Make Move-Burn To DVD"? There is a known problem that will cause the audio to be silent. In the Vegas "Option-Preferences-Close Media Files When Not The Active Application button is checked. Simply uncheck the option and regenerate the show.
