AUDIO PROBLEMS--HELP!

I am feeding audio and video from the Vegas 5 timeline via firewire to my VX-1000 camera to a deck for recording. I am getting video through, but no audio. I have tried another camera and another firewire, still no audio. To my knowledge, I have isolated the problem to my Vegas 5 software. Any ideas?

Did you mute anything like the master mixer or an audio bus? You hear the audio upon playing the timeline?

Assuming I'm understanding what you are attempting to do, the audio does not go through the firewire from the timeline. It is designed to simply show video on an external monitor. To "hear" the audio at the camera, you will have to use PTT.

...use PTT -
which means print to tape.
You can also cable the audio out from your soundcard.
