audio proxy question

I have had scenalyzer for a while, and this time I used it for capture for a project. When I import the clips into V5 it says its building a proxy file for the audio. I'm not sure what that is,is the audio captured somehow different than when its captured in vid cap?
any diferent in quality
affect render time.
Should I move this to the vegas audio forum?

You maybe captured to AVI type 1 which has no extra audio stream. Vegas requires AVI type 2. Try changing Scenalyzers preferences to capture AVI type 2.

thanks Marco I checked that, in the capture tab of scena. I have it set for type2 dv-avi file. in the audio tab I have the audio rate for all avi files set to automatic.
any other suggestions?
