Audio Rendering Problem

I have a 5 minute video that seems to work fine when previewing from the timeline. I have tried rendering the project to both .avi and MPEG-1 with the same audio problem--the .wav plays in the rendered version with significant skipping. Any suggestions?

What type of PC do you have?
Do you have another process running in the background? Close everything that is not needed when rendering.

It could also be that the media player that you are using to view the result in has some problems.

Try to bring the rendered file into MS and see if the sound is still bad.
