Audio renders out lower

Hi,

Whenever I render out a video project with audio (wav or mp3), and no matter which template I use (I also make sure the audio tab in render is good), I notice that all my audio is lower than the original in my timeline.

Yes, I make sure the sample rate is high and Bit rate is high too...but no difference (high or low). I tried Magix AVC, HEVC and a bunch of others....(rendering to mp4)

If I only render out the audio (no video) Wave or mp3, the rendered file is the same volume as what is in my timeline.

I've had this problem for years....it's just bother me more now because I'm older :)

Somebody had a similar problem recently https://www.vegascreativesoftware.info/us/forum/audio-volume-after-render-is-quieter-than-in-the-original-video--135465/

But the thread doesn't appear to have a resolution.

How are you listening to the rendered video?

If you drag the rendered video to a Vegas timeline is the volume on playback there also lower?

Some older versions of VP and DVD Arc, only had the Dolby AC-3 Studio encoder. The 'Studio' encoder's default loudness spec level was fixed.. which was low for optical discs and streaming standards. The Dolby AC-3 Pro encoder had options for loudness levels. Older versions of DVD Arc had the Dolby AC-3 Pro encoder. I am not sure if Vokoder or HOS (Happy Otter Scripts) has AC-3 encoders with different loudness options.

Just using Movies&TV player (comes with microsoft) and MPC-HC.

But if I use VLC or Windows Player to play back the audio is not lowered!!

Placing it back on the timeline (the rendered file plays back at good audio!!)

Wow, problem seems to be with the players.

Wow, problem seems to be with the players.

I suspected that might be it. Check their volume levels either in the players window or Windows Volume Mixer.

See how the players are configured as well. I use MPC-BE and don't have issues with it.

I use MPC (Media Player Classic) as well. I have the HC version, The BE version can mount a ISO file, I am not sure if the HC can. If MPC cannot open an obscure codec (rare), I go to the VLC (VideoLAN)
