Audio restoration still not fixed

I upgraded to VMS-P 8.0 from 7.0 hoping to fix the Audio Restoration bug. The plug-in was called a "Demo" version and introduced beeps into the audio when activated. Well, it's not listed as "Demo" anymore, but the beeps remain. This plug-in is hyped on the "audio tools" page for VMS so one would expect it to work. Anybody else having this problem? Thanks.

What is it about this plug-in being bugged? I own VMS6 and it seems to be working fine - though I must say Audacity does a better job.

I owned VMS4 and it worked fine. Then upgraded to VMSP7 and it was called a "demo" and beeped. Sony said an update would fix it. Never saw an update, but then VMSP8 came out touting it and so I gave it a shot. No longer a "demo" but the beeps remain. A little frustrating, though if I close out of the program and re-enter I can sometimes go a long time without hearing a beep. This is my current "workflow."

Just my guess: have you completely uninstalled VMS7? When installing my VMS6 on my d-partition, I remember some parts of the programme were installed on the c-partition as well. Maybe VMS8 is using those VMS7 (faulty) plugins?

edit
look for the sony directory under program files.
Maybe try to uninstall all Vegas software, and then if necessary, delete the sony directory under program files, and reinstall VMS8.

I won't know for sure for a while but initial indications are that wiping the drive clear of everything Sony (including Program Files and registry entries) and reinstalling has fixed the problem. Thanks for the suggestion!

Spoke too soon. Still beeping.
