Audio script needed

I have a number of audio clips (vo's) that I will be getting to work with. I found out beforehand that they are in mono. I know how to make a pseudo stereo feel, but it is a little time consuming. Is there a script that will create the stereo feel (ie. duplicate the selected clips to another track and offset by 1/2 frame)? Thanks.

I have to question the wisdom of offsetting one of the audio tracks by 1/2 frame. My concern is mono compatibility. In NTSC land, half a frame is 16.67 ms and offsetting the audio will cause comb filter cancellations in the audio at 59.94hz and potentially any harmonics of 59.94hz. If anyone ever listens to your production in mono, it could possibly sound a little strange.

Indeed. I've recently had opportunity of working with a dual system sound shoot where the audio [from DAT] was suffering from micro-tape stalls [the recording engineer simply forgot to pack the tape before use]. So I had to split the audio and resynchronize to the reference audio on the videotape throughout. I found the easiest way to detect it, besides the obvious visual determination of peaks, was to pan one signal hard right and the other hard left. Whenever a loss of sync occured it was painfully obvious as a "phlanging" effect in the audio. Now I know how to achieve that audio fx if I ever need to. "It could possibly sound a little strange" is an understatement.

I hadn't thought about nor experienced that John. I think it was Peter Wright that had made this tip a few years ago. What would happen it I offset it by 1 frame instead? Do you think the same result would happen?

Why not try a short piece and see how bad it sounds?
If you do want to try something (for free!!), download the Blue Cat Freeware Plugins Pack.
There's a stereo chorus and stereo flanger plugins that might give you the effect you're looking for.
Be sure to follow their Using DXi plug-ins in Sony Vegas tutorial.
From their site:
This tutorial will teach you how to use any DXi plug-in in Sony Vegas. Sony Vegas does not support MIDI automation, so if your plug-in supports the MIDI Dxi protocol, it is removed from the plug-ins list, and you cannot use it!
