Thomas, I had a similar problem (see post starting at 2093) that I
spent days tracking down with the help of a fourm suggestion. The
fix for me was setting the Virtual memory to 256megs max. and min.
and then defraging (which took several hours). I didn't think there
would be a need to defrag since my 16 tracks of music was layed down
in one continuous pass on a dedicated, clean empty drive. But as
soon as I did I was runing 16 tracks with Vegas Eq and compression on
every track and 4 plugins (Waves TrueVerb and 3 DSPFX) with no
skipping. mcm

Thanks guys. I'll try the vitual memory and post my results. I'm
twenty tracks so far with no plug in's at the moment.

I've got the RME Hammerfall. I use a bus for each track but they are
all routing out of pair of outs. No fx so far.
