Audio Studio Plugins:- working in Sound Forge, but not in Vegas Pro

Werner_NOR wrote on 12/30/2022, 4:09 AM

I have Vegas Pro 20 Edit and Sound Forge Audio Studio 16.

In Sound Forge I can open the new Modern Equalizer without any problems, but When I try to open it in Vegas Pro, the equalizer window shows, but it also pops up a message from Audio Plugin Union saying that 'Please complete the registration before the software can be activated.  When I press the 'Activate now' button, I get three new choises:

- Enter serial number
- Get full version
- Start trial version

I cannot find the serial number any place, and since I already have the full version working in Sound Forge, this is strange.

The same happens for all plugins from Audio Plugin Union - the plugins are working in Sound Forge, but needs activation of some sort in Vegas Pro.

Any suggestions?

It may well be that those Sound Forge plugins are license-locked to Sound Forge, not uncommon with plugins sourced from 3rd party plugin companies. To use in other products such as Vegas Pro, a full licence often needs to be purchased - which possibly explains what you are seeing in Vegas Pro. But to find out for sure, you should ask MAGIX about this by emailing them at infoservice@magix.net

Thanks quick reply. I will ask Magix, I have other alternative vsts I can use in Vegas, so it is no big deal.
