audio stutter

I was capturing film for the screenblast and suddenly I have all kinds of stutter static from my source. Any theories? Could it be dirty heads? If that were true, would it have come on suddenly like this?

Is the stutter on the clip when you play it back or do you just hear it when you're capturing?

Even on a fast machine, the sound sometimes stutters during capture because most of the computer's resources are being dedicated to the capture rather than playback.

Play the clip on your timeline. Most likely it will be fine.
