Audio Stutter

I know this has been discussed somewhat before, I've noticed my system seems to be very sensitive to reverbs. [ Multiple reverb plugins ]. I'm using SIR's and Ambience on different tracks and it seems like any combination of over 4 reverb plugins and the stutter starts, the more you add the worse it gets, I've opened system performance and watched it while the piece is playing And I'm never really going over about 50 to 55% processor use with 30 audio tracks. So far the reverbs seem to be the only thing that causes this stutter. CD's render and burn fine but playback is a pain in the a##.
I've had to turn some of the revebs off when mixing then turn them back on and listen to short segments to judge the sound. Has me puzzeled. I know some of these plugins can be processor hogs but
should I really be having a problem at 50 to 55%. I have a 3.0 P4 630HT w/ 1GIG RAM, I've played with buffering, and sampleing rates
as well as bit depths and good/best settings in properties. No change. Has me stumped, Could it be the sound card cannot handle what is being sent through it? [ Audigy 2ZS ]?
