Hi Guys!
Yes, it's that biannual time of year when I do my editing and you geys get to here some questions to help me solve my problems!
To refresh:
3 Camera shoot, and Audio recorded onto mini disc.
The past 3 times, I've had some sync issues where the mini disc recorded aydio, over the course of an hour, ends up about 1 second longer, annoying when you are watching drummers play and the sound doesn't match the stick hit.
So, this year, I thought I'd try to be clever, and time stretched the audio to match the video over the hour. I'm having to move it a VERY small amount.
Using Excalibur, I edit the 3 cameras, then condense onto one track, then trim to size.
The audio from mini disc has gone horribly out of sync.
SO, if I time stretch (or shrink), then trim, will it affect the track. i.e. will it return to it's original position?
The other reason for it being out of sync MAY be that I send the audio through the Sony Graohic Dynamics FX, which may cause a delay.
Any ideas would be great guys.
Andy
