audio sync problem after render

Hello Everyone,
In VMS my movie plays fine previewing from the time line. Video and audio are in sync. If I render to avi (ntsc dv template) I can play it in the windows media player (version 9) fine. Everything is in sync. If I render to MPEG-2 (dvd ntsc template) the rendered file will not play in windows media player. I get an unknown error message. In these previous cases I was telling VMS to make a movie (save to hard drive). If I render with the same mdeg-2 format telling it to make a movie (burn to dvd) after the render I can open the file in DVDA. It plays however the audio is a out of sync with the video. I believe I am up to date with VMS 8.0c and DVDA 4.5c Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Dave

VMS is on version 8.0d now. For WMP to playback mpeg2 you need to install the ffdshow freeware codecs. For DVDA use the ntsc dv template, as you do. If after 8.0d you still get out of sync AFTER you have BURNED a DVD, then file a bug report with Sony.

Eugenia,
Thanks for responding. I thought 8.0d was for the platinum version or am I mistaken ? Thanks.

Just an update in case anyone is interested....
Regular Vegas Movie Studio's latest release is 8.0c

Vegas Movie Studio "Platinum" is 8.0d
