When rendering a ~40min piece the sound sync get off. Video picture comes first followed by the matching sound about 1/2 sec - 3+secs later.
OK here is somebackground info:
Using my Winfast tv2000 capture card to capture tv. Originally I was using the Divx 5.02 to directly encode the incoming signal, but was getting the current sound sync problem.
The goal is to make the highest possible quality file that fits on a 700MB cd.
I've seen a Divx movie 1:48:00 long that was around 720x390 that was amazingly crisp and clear (DVD quality) that was 708MB.
ok since I was having the sound problems I switch to encoding it with the DVD NTSC setting, which gave me a ~36MB/min file. The sound problems went away. Now the problem is the file size.
From here I imported the Mpeg2 file into Vegas Video and edited out the commercials.
Still no sound issues.
Now I've been try a large number of combination (too many list)to render to but when ever I do the final ~40min export the sound starts to get out of sync about 15min into the film.
Now what confusing me is that the sound is slower then the video. If it was just my video card that was lacking the sound should still play fine and the video would be the one thats behind.
Any help on the file size would also help but getting this sound issue fixed is my first priority.
Hareware:
AMD 1800+
512MB ram
Nvidia TNT2 32MB (ok I need to get a better one)
Winfast TV2000 TV/Radio Capture card
Sound Blaster Live 5.1
40Gb 7200rpm
100Gb 7200rpm
