OK, I'm using a stand alone CD recorder to transfer music from LP to audio CDRW. I then import that audio to Vegas using the CD Import function, move the files to the Vegas timeline and divide into tracks. I want to burn these tracks to CD using Nero (I know I could use Vegas, but, for some reason unknown to me, Nero CD's will play in my car, Vegas CD's sometimes play, sometimes skip like crazy, although they play fine in every other CD player I own).
I use CD track markers to define my CD tracks, then, apply Track FX (I use Vegas' preset chain that appears on the audio track when I use the CD track import function plus a direct-X declicker . . . nothing too fancy).
I then double click each CD track marker to select that track, then render to a new file. When I'm done, each track exists as a separate file, and is easily compiled using NERO.
My confusion . . . it appears to me in listening to these separate files, that the FX I applied to the track was not applied during my render. Will not TrackFX be applied to partial track renders? Must I split the CD areas and apply FX at the event level?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions/comments.
