audio track fx button not working vegas 17

This group has saved me recently with wisdom. Let's see if we can do it again. After a few crashes, vegas 17 now is not allowing me to click the audio fx button to add or modify my audio plugins. Even using TOOLS >>AUDIO>>TRACK FX does nothing to bring up my chain of plugins. Notice on the photo the little pulldown window....that's new to me...never saw it before, and all it does is open up the fx automation dialog box. see photos below. Vegas 11, still on this same PC, is fine and doesn't do this. Any thoughts? Thx...jmm.

We cannot see your total interface but maybe it is hiding behind your taskbar?
With me the chain opens normal on screen, look

Soooooooo....this was user error. It wasn't hidden BEHIND anything, rather, my 3rd monitor (which I"ve not been using this week) was turned off, and for some reason, Vegas decided to throw the plugin chain on that 3rd (dark) monitor.....no idea why, as I've never dragged the plugin chain to the 3rd monitor. The reason I didn't think of this was, the video effects button is working fine, and displays its plugins right over the tracks.....normally. Odd, odd odd, but solved. Thx. j-v!
