Hello,

I thank you in advance for your reply. I truly appreciate it and it is a twofold question. I used to have 6 and it worked seamlessly with windows xp. I bought a computer with Windows Vista and upgraded to windows movie studio platinum 8.

It took an hour for the video capture to recognize my camera which It finally did. When I took a video clip to the timeline 2 things happened.

The video started to roll with the audio, the audio sounded good for about one second then went blank, I uploaded a couple clips and the same thing happened to all of them. Good audio for a second then nothing other than a little static occasionally.

The other problem is that even the video and audio we're on differnet timelines if I went to delete part of one it took the other with it. If I wanted to delete some video it wiped out the audio. This never happened on Movie Studio 6.

Thank you so much for your help.

Sincerely,

David

1) In the timeline, you can you can 'remove from group' by rightclicking on the video. From then on, all the events in that track can be deleted while keeping the audio.
2) In Options/preferences/tab audio device increase the audio playback buffer (seconds). Mine is at 0.54
