audio/video mismatch

I recentyl purchased movie studio +DVD 4. I have a sony dcr trv19 that i took from the DV onto my Dell Dimension 4600 with the USB. It is a Pen 4, 2.8 ghz with 512 RAM. The audio doesn't match the video. I am using the USB. The hard drive is 7200. What can I do to fix this problem.

I cant say precisely, but get a Firewire/ 1394 card is my answer. I don't know enough about USB except I've heard rumors about problems.
